My Story

Nicole Ponder

Nicole has received extensive education and certifications including; Certified Professional Life Coach by the Empowerment Coach Academy, a Brain Health Coach Certification by Amen University, is a Certified Coach  through Optimize and a Certified Creation Coach.

I was born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA.  The sandy beaches of Santa Barbara are some of the most beautiful and peacful places in our country.   While I was surrounded by wealth, I was raised in very poor conditions and abused by my father for most of my childhood.   I am fortunate to have found help and healing through the atonement of Jesus Christ as well as the help that comes through coaching.

While it was unfortunate that I was raised in such horrible conditions, it was those conditions that caused me to turn to my Savior Jesus Christ for comfort, healing and solace.  I am a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and  at the age of 22 I chose to serve an 18 month mission for my church.  My mission helped me to deepen my relationship with Christ and open my eyes to possibilities I had never previously imagined.

I have tried many forms of therapy to help overcome my challenging childhood.  A loving Heavenly Father has led me to "thought work."  By far it is the most powerful tool I have learned in the self-help world and I want to share that tool with you. I am no longer afraid of my emotions or how I might feel when some kind of a trigger goes off.  Now through the power of thought work I am confident in sitting with uncomfortable emotions, processing them and moving on.  My life is safer and more protected than it's ever been because of this journey of thought work and coaching.

Thankfully, I have overcome the odds and been married for 15 years to a loving and supportive husband.  We have 4 beautiful children.  I have been able to overcome or even avoid many of the self destructive behaviors that I should have fallen into based on my childhood.  Instead of self loathing and addiction, I have been able to find the peace, hope, self-love, forgiveness and the healthy relationships that I had been seeking from a very young age.

Next to my relationship with Christ, the one thing that has helped me more than anything is "thought work."  I am so excited about the incredible difference that it has made in my life, that I am now dedicated to helping others with good or bad childhoods discover "thought work" for themselves.   I have seen it all, heard it all, experienced a lot myself and I can testify to you the truthfulness and power of this approach.  If you will let me, I will teach YOU how to "flip your thoughts" so that you truly can "flip your life" for the better.
